This Spanish company is engaged in manufacture of alcohol which is obtained from the pressing of grapes. It was founded in 1972 by Codorniu SA, Freixenet SA, Coop. Vinicola Penedes SCCL, Safe Viudas SA and Pavitor SL. Its registered head office as well as its manufacturing plant is strategically located in Avinyonet del Penedes, in the province of Barcelona. The company produces alcohol for electrical energy generation, grape pulp for animal feeds, grape pulp for organic fertilizers, alcohol for distilled wines, and tartaric acid. It uses the best available technology in order to protect the environment.
